n 2010-2011, the School of Business and Management’s program excellence was
once again reflected by its consistently high global rankings. The Kellogg-HKUST
EMBA program topped the
Financial Times
2011 EMBA global rankings for the third
year in a row. In addition, the HKUST MBA program’s global ranking reached its
highest place yet when it was ranked sixth in the world in the Financial Times 2011
rankings. The program is ranked in the world’s top 10 on a three-year average.
In preparation for the undergraduate program’s transition to the four-year curriculum
in 2012, it was decided that the School’s required courses on business ethics and
responsibility would carry increased weight and credit to enhance student’s holistic
development and sense of social responsibility. In line with University initiatives, the
School will offer programs that expose students to multiple cross-disciplinary and
interdisciplinary perspectives.
In terms of co-curricular activities, the School launched a non-academic, student-
led program “Business Cohort Community” in 2010-2011. The program aims to
build unity among undergraduate students and enhance personal development. The
“Dean’s Service Award” was introduced to recognize students who actively engage in
community services within and beyond the campus. Students also continued to benefit
from the School’s vast exchange network of 111 undergraduate exchange partners
and 56 MBA exchange partners with leading business schools in the world.

年,科大工商管理學院的課程再獲殊榮,在國際排榜上持續高踞前列位
置。在2011年《金融時報》全球EMBA排名中,凱洛格科大EMBA課程連續第三年
位列第一。此外,科大工商管理碩士課程的全球排名創下新高,而在2011年《金融時
報》全球排名中亦穩佔第六位。以過去三年平均排名計,科大工商管理碩士課程穩佔全
球排名十大位置。
為配合本科生課程於
2012
年過渡至四年制,工商管理學院將加大有關商業道德和社會
責任的課程比重和學分,以加強學生的全人發展及社會責任意識。為配合科大的方向,
學院將開辦多個跨學科科目。
學院於
2010-2011
年推出非學術性、並由學生主導的商學院學生社群,目的是促進學生
的個人發展及團隊精神。學院同時推出院長社會服務獎,表揚在校園和社區積極參與服
務的學生。學院與全球著名商學院建立龐大的交換生網絡,包括
