T
he School of Science promotes a vibrant and dynamic environment
that emphasizes academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
It offers a wide spectrum of programs, including life sciences, chemistry,
mathematics, and physics, which are aimed at preparing students to meet
the demands of an ever-changing society.
Owing to its outstanding teaching and research activities, the
QS Asian University
Rankings 2010
ranked the School first in Hong Kong in Natural Science and 12th in
the World’s Top 50 Engineering and Technology Universities.
In line with the 3-3-4 education reform, the School has revamped its undergraduate
curricula to make them more inquiry-driven, interdisciplinary, and diverse. In
addition to academic excellence, the School embraces students’ personal growth by
encouraging participation in exchange programs, internships, community service, and
learning across disciplines.
