The University has deepened its interaction with the
community, bringing the expertise of its faculty to
a range of different activities to promote science
and technology and to foster social and economic
development, including discussions on key issues,
applied innovation, and leadership development.
Students and alumni have also raised awareness of the
importance of a contributing spirit.
Relationships within the community strengthened, with the sharing
of knowledge by faculty and students, generous contributions to the
University, and the growing presence of HKUST alumni around the world

BUILDING INSIGHT AND LEADERSHIP
The establishment of the HKUST Leadership and Public
Policy Executive Education Office introduced programs
and activities for public policy decision-makers,
academics and practitioners to explore current issues
and develop solutions. In January 2014, the Launch
Forum for the Office’s Leadership and Public Policy
