won the 1st-runner up in the YDC Entrepreneur’s Challenge 2011 for a project about an
eco-friendly and money-saving detergent. The team was awarded an in-kind prize valued
up to HK$71,000.

, alumnus of Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management and
his team have been accepted to the highly competitive SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics
Conference held in Vancouver. The “Make It Home” software application was jointly
developed by faculty and students of UCLA and HKUST.
