嫦娥探月計劃首席科學家兼中國科學院院
士歐陽自遠教授，主持以「中國探月工程與
火星探測」為題的講座。

HKUST invited Prof Ouyang Ziyuan, Chief Scientist of China’s Moon
Exploration Project Chang’e and Academician of the Chinese
Academy of Sciences, to give a lecture on China’s exploration of the
Moon and Mars.

Dr Sun Yat-sen Statue Unveiled at HKUST
A bronze statue of Dr Sun Yat-sen was unveiled by Dr Lily Sun Sui-
fong, granddaughter of the late Dr Sun Yat-sen and President of the
Dr Sun Yat-sen Foundation for Peace and Education, and HKUST
President Tony F Chan.

Report from Quality Assurance Council
The Quality Assurance Council released a Quality Audit report and
commended that HKUST has achieved a strong reputation and has a
staff that is committed to supporting the further development of the
University. The Panel is confident that with its strong quality assurance
culture and robust processes, the University will continue to enhance the
quality of its teaching and learning.

Commissioner Lu Xinhua of the Commissioner’s Office of China’s
Foreign Ministry in the HKSAR spoke at a Distinguished Lecture titled
“Foreign Affairs and China’s Foreign Affairs Policy” at HKUST.

比斯籌款，協助失明及視障人士重見光明。
Run for Vision
Over 350 students, staff and alumni took part in “Run for Vision”,
an activity to celebrate the University’s 20th Anniversary and to raise
funds for Orbis to provide treatment for the visually impaired.

President’s Forum
The 2010 Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, Prof Christopher
Pissarides, shared his wisdom on labor market equilibrium at the UC
RUSAL President’s Forum organized by the Institute for Advanced
Study.

流計劃
科大工學院與普林斯頓大學工程及應用科
學學院合辦以研究為本的本科生暑期交流
計劃，為兩間學校的工程學學生提供國際
研究體驗。
Joint Undergraduate Research Exchange
Program with Princeton
HKUST’s School of Engineering and Princeton University’s School of
Engineering and Applied Science formed a partnership to launch
a research-based undergraduate summer exchange program
to provide engineering students with an international research
experience.
中國經濟發展論壇
工商管理學院舉辦中國經濟發展論壇，作
為科大20周年校慶活動之一，由四名傑出
講者主講，分別是世界銀行高級副行長兼
首席經濟學家林毅夫教授、清華大學中國
與世界經濟研究中心主任李稻葵教授、中
國人民銀行副行長及國家外匯管理局局長
易綱教授，以及香港特別行政區政府財經
事務及庫務局局長陳家強教授。
China Economic Development Forum
The School of Business and Management hosted the Forum as part
of HKUST’s 20th Anniversary celebrations. The Forum featured four
distinguished speakers: Prof Justin Lin, Senior Vice President and
Chief Economist of the World Bank; Prof David Li, Director of the
Center for China in the World Economy of the Tsinghua University;
Prof Yi Gang, Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China and
Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange;
and Prof KC Chan, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury,
HKSAR Government.
