幕典禮，為應用基因組中心、生物工程暨生物醫療儀器中
心、高分子成型過程及系統中心及綠色產品及加工技術研
究中心隆重揭幕。
HKUST opened four new research centers at the Fok
Ying Tung Research Institute in Nansha, Guangzhou.
They were the Applied Genomics Center, Center for
Bioengineering and Biomedical Devices, Center for
Polymer Processing, and Center for Green Products and
Processing Technologies.

More than 50 HKUST
students, alumni and
staff members took part in a “100,000m Finswimmer
World Record Event” co-organized by HKUST and the
Hong Kong Underwater Association. The event set an
official Guinness World Record.
科大全日制工商管理碩士課程再度於經濟學人信息部（簡稱
EIU）排名榜位列亞太之冠。
HKUST’s full-time MBA program was ranked by the
Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), for a second year, as
No. 1 in Asia Pacific and Australia.
前香港總督、現任蘇格蘭阿伯丁大學校監衛奕信勳爵
到訪科大，並與科大簽訂備忘協議，開展兩校本科生
交流活動。
Lord Wilson, Chancellor of the University of
Aberdeen and former Governor of Hong Kong,
visited HKUST and signed a Memorandum of
Understanding on student exchange between the
two universities.
