工學院的兩隊學生勇奪
三項大獎，包括冠軍寶
座。這項機器人創新比
賽由香港電台、香港電
腦學會及香港工程師學
會聯合舉辦，來自本港五所大學共十支參賽隊伍競逐殊榮。
Two teams of School of Engineering students scooped three awards, including
the championship, at the Robocon 2008 Hong Kong contest held at the Hong
Kong Science Park on 22 June 2008. Ten teams from five local universities
took part in the battle of innovative automatons, organized by Radio Television
Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Computer Society and the Hong Kong Institution
of Engineers.
科大校長杯
The HKUST President’s Cup
科大致力協助學生發展全面的技能，為日後踏上成功之路作
好準備。設立「科大校長杯」，旨在進一步鼓勵學生積極從事
創新研究。今年工學院學生關國滔及梁燊堯勇奪這項殊榮。
Apart from academic excellence, the University is determined
to help students develop all-round capabilities necessary for
future success. The HKUST President’s Cup was launched
to further enhance students’ interests and initiatives in
innovative research. This year, the award went to Kwan Kwok
To and Leung San Yiu of the School of Engineering.
「挑戰杯」全國大學生課外學術科技作品競賽
The Challenge Cup National Competition
本校亦鼓勵學生參加每兩年舉辦一次的「挑戰杯」全國大學
生課外學術科技作品競賽。2006年「科大校長杯」得主
馬文龍在來自十所香港大學的44份參賽作品中脫穎而出，
勇奪2007年全國「挑戰杯」一等獎。
Students are also encouraged to participate in the Challenge
Cup, a biennial national competition in extra-curricular
academic and scientific achievements for Chinese college
students. This round Henry Ma Man Leung won the First
Class Award in the regional competition among the 44
entries from 10 Hong Kong tertiary institutions. Mr Ma was
also the winner of the HKUST President’s Cup in 2006.
