科大電子及計算機工程學系講座教授曹希仁獲
國際自動控制聯盟（IFAC）頒授院士銜，成為該會
自1957年創辦以來首位來自香港的院士。

was named a fellow of the
International Federation of
Automatic Control (IFAC),
making him the first-ever
Hong Kong scholar to
become an IFAC Fellow
since the Federation’s
inception in 1957.

獎同學共675人。
HKUST’s scholarship recipients expressed their warm regards
to the generous donors in a tea reception on campus. In the
2007-08 academic year, over 980 scholarships and prizes were
awarded to 675 outstanding students, with a value of
nearly $30 million.
科大首次頒發「科大傑出服務獎」予非教學職員。鄭傑
明、林秉惠及黃婉薇從多個提名中脫穎而出，可謂實至名歸。
HKUST presented its first “HKUST President’s Outstanding
Service Award” to non-teaching staff members. Michael
Cheng, Albert Lam and Anna Wong were selected from dozens
of nominations.

國家科學技術部向科大霍英東研究院頒授「國際科技合
作基地」稱號，藉以推動及促進內地、科大與國際夥伴
之間的合作。
The Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST)
awarded the Fok Ying Tung Graduate School the
status as an “International Science & Technology
Cooperation Base” to promote and facilitate further
collaborations between institutions on the Mainland,
HKUST and international partners.
