工學院副院長兼岩土工程離心機實驗所主任吳宏偉教授在2007年榮獲著名的
R M Quigley榮譽獎，表揚吳教授在全球少數主要土壤工程期刊《加拿大土工
雜誌》中發表論文，成為該期刊最優秀的三篇論文之一。
Prof Charles Ng, Associate Dean of Engineering and Director of Geotechnical
Centrifuge Facility, received the prestigious R M Quigley Honorable Mention for
2007 for publishing one of the three best papers in
Canadian Geotechnical
Journal
, which is one of the few leading geotechnical journals in the world.

計算機科學及工程學系劉雲浩教授與他的博士生李
默，榮獲「2007年香港資訊及通訊科技獎」的最佳
創新及研究大獎，表揚他的「無線傳感器網絡煤礦監
控系統」研究項目。
Prof Yunhao Liu, Computer Science & Engineering,
and his PhD student Mo Li were recognized by HKICT
Awards 2007 Best Innovation and Research (Open)
Gold Award and Best Innovation and Research Grand Award for their research
project “Coal Mine Surveillance with Wireless Sensor Networks”.
