With six departments: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering,
Computer Science and Engineering, Electronic and Computer
Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management, and
Mechanical Engineering, the School literally bears the burden and
honour of “engineering Hong Kong’s future.”
The School is working hard with industry and government to meet their
needs through partnerships. We have achieved substantial success in
bringing industrial R & D to the market for commercialization. Through
our Engineering Industrial Consortium, Technology Transfer Center,
Applied Technology Center, the HKUST R and D Corporation Ltd and
our partnership with the Hong Kong Industrial Technology Center
Corporation, the School has been at the forefront of developing and
transferring the latest technology to meet the economic, industrial,
commercial and environmental needs of Hong Kong.
工學院轄下六個學系：化學工程學系、土木工程
學系、計算機科學及工程學系、電子及計算機工
程學系、工業工程及物流管理學系、及機械工程
學系，肩負“建設香港未來”的重大責任。
透過夥伴關係，工學院竭力與業界及政府合作，
配合兩者的需求。此外，工學院亦為市場引入商
業化的工業研究及開發，並取得重大成果。透過
工業聯盟、技術轉移中心、應用技術中心、科大
研究開發有限公司及香港工業科技中心公司的合
作，工學院在發展及轉移最新科技，以滿足經
濟、工業、商業及環保需要，處於最前線。
工學院在設計教學課程上，亦經常作出創新，除
了提供雙學位課程外，還有本科生交流計劃、導
師交流計劃、夏季工學院及工業培訓計劃。尤以
科技及管理課程，在今日社會備受重視，因為管
理技能及科技知識，對馳騁商場，決勝千里舉足
輕重。
