We never lose sight of our officially-sanctioned mission that we be
central to Hong Kong’s pursuit of its social and economic development.
Our research interests often target the needs of industry and the
business community in the region and beyond.
What deserves special mention is our achievement in executive
education programs. Our joint Executive MBA program with the Kellogg
School of Management of Northwestern University was rated second
in the world in December 2005 on the
Financial Times
worldwide
EMBA rankings. For a school only 15 years old, this is a breathtakingly
impressive accomplishment.
The HKUST business school consistently ranks among the top 25 in the
world in research. The School’s Finance faculty has been ranked first in
the Asia Pacific in research articles published in top academic journals,
for the third time in four years. The School’s Accounting faculty has
been ranked among the top ten in the world in publications in the top-
three academic journals in five of the past six years, a record exceeded
by no other school and tied by only one, University of Chicago.
科大商學院肩負一項公認的使命，是推動香港社
會及經濟發展。我們的研究方向，針對區內以至
全世界工商界的需要而進行。
我們的行政人員教育課程，成就顯赫。我們與西
北大學凱洛格管理學院合辦的行政工商管理碩
士課程，在《金融時報》2005年12月公布的全
球EMBA排名中，位列第二位，對一所僅有十五
年歷史的學院而言，委實是一個令人振奮莫名的
成就。
科大商學院在研究方面的世界排名，亦經常保持
在全球前25名之內。財務學系在頂尖學術刊物
發表的研究文章，近四年來，已三次在亞太區名
列首位，至於會計學系在全球三大學術刊物發表
的文章，過去六年，有五年位列十大之內，這項
紀錄，至今沒有其他學院能夠打破，與其看齊
的，只有芝加哥大學一家而已。
