「科技異彩夏令營」引領女生步入科技世界
EX.I.T.E. Camp Introduces Female Students to the
World of Science
國際商業機器中國香港有限公司與科大聯手為36位11歲至13歲的女
生提供了一次獨特而難忘的體驗 —「科技異彩夏令營」。在為期五天的
活動中，女生們參與了一系列精心設計的研習坊、遊戲和講座。在益
智與趣味並重的氣氛中，她們不但增加了對科技的興趣，更對未來的
職業選擇有了新的體會。
IBM China/Hong Kong and HKUST joined hands to provide 36 girls aged 11-13 with a unique and memorable experience
at the Exploring Interest in Technology and Engineering (EX.I.T.E.) Camp. During the five-day camp, the girls participated in
a series of workshops, games and lectures designed to increase their interest in science and technology and open the door
to a wider range of career options.

與日本電訊集團NTT DoCoMo攜手
舉辦一系列教育活動
Educational Activities Launched with
Japan’s NTT DoCoMo
科技及管理雙學位課程與NTT DoCoMo共同為科大教師和學生舉辦一系
列精彩的教育活動。除了主題為「最新移動通信技術應用」的演講外，15
名成績優異的雙學位學生更獲選組成三個團隊，並就NTT DoCoMo研發
的一項嶄新互動技術進行商業應用而提出一個商業模式。NTT DoCoMo是
總部設於日本的全球領先移動通信營運商。
The Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management and NTT DoCoMo jointly offered a series of unmatched educational
activities for HKUST faculty and students. In addition to a distinguished lecture on “Insights into Mobile Applications beyond 3G”,
15 outstanding Dual Degree students were selected to form three teams for proposing a business model to commercialize a new
interactive technology developed by NTT DoCoMo, which is a world leading mobile communications company based in Japan.

科大與中山大學攜手培育人才
Collaboration with Sun Yat-sen University to
Nurture Talents
科大與中山大學簽訂合作協議，開展學生聯合培養專案，就
電腦科學及土木工程兩個專業範疇共同發展「2+2」辦學模
式。中山大學電腦科學及土木工程專業25 名優秀學生首兩年
將在中山大學學習，後兩年則到科大修讀工學士課程。
HKUST and Sun Yat-sen University signed an agreement to
develop “2+2” joint project to nurture talents in Computer
Science and Civil Engineering. 25 outstanding undergraduate
students from Sun Yat-sen University will complete their first two years of studies at home, after
which they will continue their studies at HKUST to earn their Bachelors of Engineering.
