紅鳥計劃
REDbird Award Program
來自科大及社區內的一眾貴賓、導師及學生齊集於科
大校園的紅鳥計劃開展儀式，祝賀這個學生發展計劃
成功推出。
Distinguished guests from HKUST and the local
community, mentors and students gathered together at
the REDbird Award Program Inauguration Ceremony at
the HKUST campus to celebrate the successful launch
of this student development program.
陳瑞球林滿珍伉儷樓落成
Chan Sui Kau and Chan Lam Moon Chun Hall
科大將一座新落成的宿舍命名為「陳瑞球林滿珍伉儷樓」，以感謝陳瑞球
博士及陳氏家族慈善基金對科大慷慨支持。新宿舍於2009年秋季學期
啓用，為學生提供363個宿位。
A new student hall was named Chan Sui Kau and Chan Lam Moon Chun
Hall as a tribute to Dr Chan Sui Kau and The Chan Family Charitable
Trust for their generous support to the University. The hall will provide
accommodation for 363 students starting from the Fall Semester 2009.

黃焯書科研中心命儀式
Naming Ceremony of Wong Chek She Research Centre for
Environment and Infrastructure
科大將中電風洞實驗所及岩土工程離心機實驗所在的建築物命名為黃焯書科研中心。
黃焯書慈善基金的顧問委員會成員及黃焯書先生的生前好友均出席了是項慶祝儀式。
The building which houses the CLP Power Wind/Wave Tunnel Facility and the
Geotechnical Centrifuge Facility was named Wong Check She Research Center for
Environment and Infrastructure. Advisory Committee Members of the Wong Check She
Charitable Foundation and friends of the late Mr Wong Check She attended a ceremony to mark the occasion.

歡送朱校長繽紛跑
Fun Run – Farewell for President Chu
科大學生、校友及教職員於科大霍英東體育中心歡送朱經武校長，380位接
力跑手進行一小時的比賽，並為服飾各出奇謀。活動總共籌得50萬元（連同
捐贈在內），科大將成立基金以支持大學的體育發展。
Student, alumni, faculty and staff gathered at the Fok Ying Tung Sports Center
to bid farewell to departing President Paul Chu. 380 relay-runners circumvented
the track in fancy costumes for an hour. Over $500,000, including contributions
after the event, was raised in total. It will be used to set up a fund for the development of sports in the University.
