電子及計算機工程學系與其他機構攜手合辦IEEE無線通訊及網絡大
會（WCNC），這是無線技術工程和研究領域的國際盛事，亦是首次
在北美以外地區舉行的WCNC大會。
The IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference
(WCNC), the leading international event for wireless technology
engineers and researchers, was co-organized by the Department
of Electronic & Computing Engineering. It was the first WCNC
conference to be held outside North America.
加拿大小說家及作家John Ralston Saul，在科大與
MAN Hong Kong International Literary Festival合辦
的活動上作公開演講。
Canadian novelist and essayist John Ralston Saul
gave a public lecture to a capacity audience. It was
jointly organized by HKUST and the MAN Hong
Kong International Literary Festival.
科大與紐約大學斯特恩商學院合辦環球金融學
碩士課程，當時擔任財經事務及庫務局局長馬
時亨先生出席簽署儀式。
The joint master’s program in Global Finance
with NTU Stern School was launched in a
ceremony officiated by the Hon Frederick
Ma, then Secretary for Financial Services and
the Treasury.

香港賽馬會創新科技中心正式開幕。
中心獲香港賽馬會慈善信託基金資助
興建，其四間演講廳亦於同日啟用。

Enterprise Center was officially
opened. Constructed with the
generous support of the Jockey
Club’s Charities Trust, it also houses
four lecture theatres that were
likewise dedicated that day.
