The past 12 months have proved reward-
ing ones for HKUST, with the University
gaining recognition for its academic
excellence at the highest international
levels.
During the year, HKUST's world-class fac-
ulty, significant research breakthroughs,
and successful approach to teaching
and learning have been globally
acknowledged through a series of inter-
national accolades that have demon-
strated the all-round strength of the
University's achievements.
In the increasingly globalized arena of
tertiary education, rankings conducted
by respected publications, such as the
Financial Times (FT) and The Times of
London, have placed HKUST among the
world's leading institutions in all four of
the major areas its Schools encompass:
Science, Engineering, Business and
