A
s a highly regarded international institution,
HKUST is renowned for its broad international
perspective in terms of the faculty make up, student
population, academic links with overseas institutions
and organizations as well as a proactive approach to
international collaboration.
Student recruitment and
prospects
The University takes a global approach to student
recruitment. In 2009-10, 13% of the University’s
undergraduate intake came from outside Hong Kong.
The non-local student pool has become more diversified
in recent years with a good mix of students from
Mainland China and overseas.

大是得到國際認同的大學，無論在教職員、學生、與
海外機構及組織的學術聯繫，以及在推動國際合作上
積極進取的態度，均受到推崇。
學生招收及前景
科大在錄取學生方面採用全球性策略。於2009-10學年，
13%本科生來自香港以外的地區。近年，非本地學生的組
合更趨多元化，內地及海外學生比例均衡。
科大致力培養學生成為有教養並有真才實學的人才。與此
同時，我們鼓勵學生參加交換生計劃，成為具國際視野的
世界公民。
逾50名本科生及碩士生獲美國頂尖大學頒發全額哲學博士
獎學金到美國升學。
交換生計劃
我們在全球擁有156個學生交換計劃夥伴，超過三分之一
的本科生可在畢業前至少有一個學期到海外交流，商學院
有50%以上本科生到海外大學交流至少一個學期。我們每
一個學期都會接待超過300名國際交換生，為校園增添活
力。例如，工學院與18個國家近70家院校建立了夥伴關
係，包括康奈爾大學、普渡大學、加州大學柏克萊分校、
倫敦大學學院、布里斯托大學、多倫多大學、蘇黎世聯邦
理工學院、慕尼黑工業大學、京都大學、新加坡國立大學
及韓國科學技術院。商學院亦與108家院校建立國際交換
生夥伴關係。
研究生方面，11名高年級博士生獲科大海外研究獎學金資
助，前往海外著名的研究實驗室實習長達六個月。這些大
學包括劍橋大學、耶魯大學、西北大學及密歇根大學。無
論在專業或個人層面，這些經驗都有助學生開拓全球視野。
最近，工學院簽訂了多份合作協議，當中包括：與韓國頂
尖研究型大學韓國科學技術院合辦哲學博士課程的協議；
與法國國立電信學院簽訂的雙碩士學位課程協議；以及與
伊朗謝裡夫理工大學簽訂的學術、科學和文化合作協議。
於2009-10學年，理學院與多家海外學府簽訂合作協議，
為有意在海外就讀一個學期的理學院學生提供更多選擇。
這些學府包括澳洲蒙納殊大學、美國維珍尼亞大學、美國
新澤西州州立羅格斯大學及土耳其薩班哲大學。
HKUST nurtures students to become truly educated
individuals with strong academic background. We
also encourage them to take part in student exchange
programs and encouraging them to become global
citizens with an international outlook.
More than 50 undergraduate and masters’ students
have been given full PhD scholarships by top universities
in the US.
Student Exchanges
We have 156 exchange partners across the globe
and over one-third of our undergraduates have the
opportunity experience an international exchange for at
least one semester before graduation. In our Business
