Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP)
System
T
he 4-year undergraduate system in 2012 will increase
student population by about one-third and bring
fundamental changes to our administration systems. The
University decided to take the opportunity to overhaul its
information infrastructure by implementing a full-fledged
ERP system. This project is brand-named “Teamu
•
st” which
stands for university information systems transformation.
Phase I of the project encompasses the three functional
areas of student, finance and human resources.
The University has selected Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise
as the ERP solution and Oracle Consulting Services as the
partner to provide the implementation services.

information system:

for a fully integrated information platform for the 3-3-4
academic structure and beyond.

and service provision.

for efficient and effective administration and
management decision making.

in support of the University’s pursuit of excellence in
education and research.
The project is led by the Information Systems Project
Steering Committee (ISPSC), which reports to the
President via the University Administrative Committee.

The project officially commenced on 5 January 2009 and
has set up a cross-stream Change Management Team
to prepare the University for the Change. The project is
currently in the Design Phase, and it is anticipated that
Phase I will go live in the last quarter of 2010.
