HKUST Fok Ying Tung Graduate School (FYTGS) is one of the
University’s key platforms in Mainland China, engaging in research,
education, and technological advancements. It is located in
Nansha, Guangzhou, designated as a National Special Zone for
development.
The School continued to focus its research and academic programs
in four technology areas: Internet of Things; Energy and Advanced
Engineering Materials; Advanced Manufacturing & Automation;
and Environment & Sustainable Development. Over the years, the
School has built up the capacity and capability to seek government
grants, either on its own or in collaboration with other Mainland
China institutions, and to assist companies in technological
advancement. It has around 200 staff and interns working in its
eight research centers. The new school building is expected to be
completed by Fall 2013, paving the way for further growth and
impact.
